The puppies are now 8 weeks
old, and some are leaving for
their new homes.
I am missing them already!
Puppy #1 - Male
We have named this guy "Trajan",
after one of "The 5 Good Emperors
of Rome".
It is said that Trajan was a
soldier of such good nature that
he he brought wealth
and prosperity back to Rome.
Here he is being sized up by
Brian.
Puppy #2 - River
Here is River. What a
character!
The kids love him very
much!
Puppy #3 -
This sweet baby is preparing to
go to his new home,
after having his ears done this
week.
I will miss those velvet
ears!
Puppy #4 -
Mr. E looks just like his momma,
and has her temperament too.
What an absolute joy he is!
Here he is, playing with his
momma.
Puppy #5 - Misty Rose
Rose went to her new home on
Saturday.
Greg could not be happier!
Puppy #6 - Lucius Veras
And here is Lucius, preparing to
leave with his new dad, Adam!
Lucius' new family has called
and described him as,
and I quote, a "fat happy
pig"!
Here are some more pictures,
just for posterity.
On this day, our babies tried out
their very first raw meat.
Rose liked hers so much, she
asked for more and ended up
eating two!
Meanwhile, River took his and hid
under the bench. That's probably
safest
with a hungry sister around
Playing with Auntie Lily.
We think socializing is
extremely important.
We're always introducing our dogs
(and pups) to new people and
experiences.
Trajan is a high drive dog
that is always looking for a job
to do.
Our dear friend, Brian, thinks
bite work might be just his cup
of tea!
Yeah, it's a party at our
house,
and friends are always
welcome,
be they human or canine!
Of course, at the end of a
hard day playing,
everybody just wants to be
carried off to bed.
Who can blame them?
