RARITIES
Clackamette Park
Gladstone Oregon
July 2005
At long last, Rarities finally
came to Oregon, and we gave them
a good show! Over in our little
working corner, we ended up with
12 corsos in attendence - not
counting the rescued CC that came
by to say hello!
Because of the park double
booking, we ended up doing all 5
shows on Sunday. That means
people really ran their butts
off, and it was a LONG day, with
the final Best In Show
competition finishing up at
8:30pm. Unfortunately, that meant
no time for official show
pictures. But, luckily, we had
Kari to take pics for us. Thanks
so much, Kari!
Here are some pictures from
this great show.
This was Enigma's first show
and he wasn't quite sure what to
make of it.
Eventually he did get the hang of
it, and earned a Best of Breed
Puppy along the way.
Here is Mr. E in the Group
Puppy competition.
Trajan came into the show with
his best buddy, Brian.
This was Brian's very first time
in the ring.
(It was a day of firsts for our
group!)
Our Bella Rosa pups, Trajan
& Mr. E,
battling it out for class.
Brian and Trajan getting their
first
Best In Breed award of the
day!
Here we see Angela McDonald
with one of her
winning girls. What a pretty
pair!
And here is Devon, a 12 year
old young man making his first
show debut.
Devon and his girl had quite a
show, with 5 Group 1 Junior Puppy
ribbons!
Here is Devon in the Best In Show
Competition, listening intently
to the judge.
Great job, Devon!!!
We'll be seeing lots more of you
in the show ring!
Bella, a rescued corso,
dropped by the park to say hello
to everyone.
It was great to see how bonded
she is with her wonderful new
family.
I truly love those stories!
Next comes our darling Tiger
Lily.
And Sweet Mystery with
Bradley.
This is Jynx, owned by Betty
Osing / Darkstone Kennels.
Jynx had an amazing show, earning
enough points to achieve both
her
ICCF and Rarities Championships
all in one day! WOW!
(Betty and Jeanette - so sorry we
didn't get some better pictures
of Jynx.
Perhaps you got some that we can
post here?)
Time for a break between
shows.
Hey, 5 shows in one day makes for
some really tired people and
dogs.
Here's Dezi, relaxing with a new
import pup. What a lovey little
baby girl.
Brian and Trajan taking a well
deserved rest.
And who can ignore Bradley's
choice of resting spots.
Let us not forget our
illustrious photographer,
Kari, without whom no picturres
would have been taken!
Thank You Kari!
Back to the show.
Here's Trajan and Brian at it
again.
Brian and Trajan went on to
win Best Of Breed Puppy 3
times,
and Group 1 placements twice.
What a great way to start
showing, huh Brian?
Leslie Schonert got quite a
workout.
She showed our favorite boy,
Arturo...
...but then lent a helping
hand with some other dogs as
well. Actually, several people
helped show the Renaissance
bitches! (Here's Leslee and
Jeanette both stepping up to
help.) Note to Angela Unless you
grow some extra arms, you better
not bring so many winning dogs
next time!
Above is Renaissance's
Balfagor,
Renaissance's Pierra, and
Renaissance's Pandora.
Finally last, but certainly
not least, here is Enzo!
This handsome boy made us all so
proud by taking
BEST IN SHOW -
TWICE!!!
Way To Go, Enzo and Amy!
Well, that's all for this
show! As usual, we had the best
group of people,
with everyone helping each other,
sharing handling tips
(BIG thanks to Betty and Jeanette
on that one),
and generally making it a good
time for all.
Thank you, Corso People! You are
awesome!
By the way, Rarities loved the
turnout and said they will
definitely come back to Oregon
next July!
