Showing your Cane Corso can be very rewarding, and now that we are recognized by the AKC and the UKC, finding places to show your dog has become much easier. As of July 2008, the Cane Corso was fully recognized by the UKC and can participate in all conformation and working events. Also in July, the Cane Corso went into the AKC Miscellaneous Class. Check with your breeder to be certain that your pup's litter was registered with these organizations. In addition, the Cane Corso can be shown in the following organizations:
American Rare Breed Association (ARBA), Rarities, the International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA), and the National Canine Association (NCA).
We want to encourage working, training and showing of your Cane Corso, especially here on the West Coast where the breed is still new. To help you, we are including a show calendar, so that you can locate a show near you. If you need help with handling / learning to show, please give us a call or an email and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
